It is Valentines Day, and also Saturday. We have enjoyed it.
Jane and I exchanged gifts last night. She got me chocolate-covered strawberries and a card; I got her a box of Lindor chocolates and a card. Then we went for our usual Friday night supper outing. We went to Cebollas Mexican Grill on Jefferson (again). It was pretty busy, but they're pretty quick there. Afterward we stopped in to our usual spot with some friends, then went home and settled into our recliners in the basement and watched The Wire.
Today we slept in until almost 10 am. Ahhh... We woke up slow and had brunch at our usual Saturday spot - the Waynedale Spyro's. We did a little cleaning and some other random things around the house. Later we went out and bought the grandkids some Valentines Day presents and dropped them off.
Now we are heating up a Tombstone Deluxe frozen pizza, and will likely convene to the basement for the rest of the night. We will likely watch an episode or two of The Wire, or I think maybe Saturday Night Live has a special on tonight. Tomorrow we are greeters at church, so we won't be able to sleep quite as late.
That's a pretty good day, I would say.
