I fixed the blower fan in the escape

The blower fan in my 2011 Ford Escape quit working a couple weeks ago. It either wouldn't blow at all or it would only work on full blast. Not exactly convenient, but I usually just ride with the windows down anyway. However, if I were to start driving Uber again it would need to be working properly.

So, I did what most people do... I googled it. There was a Youtube video stating that it was likely the resistor for the blower motor. It wasn't necessarily difficult to replace - thanks to the video - but it was plenty hard to get to! It was bolted in up inside the dash and you got there by taking the glove compartment drawer out. I had to kind of lay on the passenger seat floorboard and use my phone for a light. I could just barely maneuver a wrench up in there.

Fortunately, Autozone down the street had one in stock, so $24 later, I had it in and the blower was a purring away again.

I always get nervous doing stuff like this myself. Even if it looks easy, there seem to always be more steps involved or knowledge required than the videos show. This wasn't too bad though.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
    establish the work of our hands for us—
    yes, establish the work of our hands.
