Shoveling snow

I think yesterday was the first time I had to shovel snow this year. There wasn't a lot, and it was nice and light (because it was cold as heck), but there was still enough that it needed shoveled. If I remember correctly it snowed a couple times earlier, but not significant enough to need shoveling. This morning it is also 0 degrees F. I guess it's winter. One of these years I'm going to need a snow blower.

I highly recommend them. I have a single-stage Craftsman, which just means there's one auger throwing the snow up through the hole in the top and the deflector directs it where to go. The 2-stage have a little hamster wheel at the top that RE-launches the snow and you can really get it away from you so you're not covered in snow when the wind changes. I've never owned one, but I hear Toro is a pretty good brand. If my brother weren't a mechanic (who breaks his computer occasionally) my Craftsman wouldn't have lasted this long. He rebuilt it, and it's a monster now.
