When it comes to connecting with the people Jesus misses most, we don't have to be unusually brave. There's no pressure to do what we're not equipped to do and no shame in doing what we're well suited for. We only have to do what we can.
I think there is a lot of truth to this. I think a lot of people wear themselves out spiritually because they think they're not "doing" enough. Then they live in guilt and shame and depression. However, I also think this line of thinking really minimizes the whole faith issue. Like, if I only need to do what "I" can do, then what do I need to trust Jesus for? Know what I mean? So, I don't know if I'm in one of those spots where I need to "exercise" my faith - I need to do something that I couldn't possibly do without Jesus' help. Or... I need to quit thinking that I need to do something like that... and just do what I can do.
The Ordinary Attempt is to ask these 5 questions:
- What are your spiritual interests?
- What do you think of Christians?
- What do you think of Jesus?
- Would you pray for me?
- What would you like prayer for?
(I'm waiting...)

My spiritual interests -
I like to learn new things, but am not very disicplined about doing that. I enjoy good discussions about how to apply spiritual things to life, which I suppose should be a spiritual thing...
What do I think of Christians -
In general, I think most Christians are sincere, but those who aren't make it difficult. I think most Christians, myself included, probably don't understand what that word means, even though we keep using it :)
What do i think of Jesus -
Hard to fathom how someone could have His outlook. His perspective on the important. I think He is above our comprehension yet is our best friend.
Would you pray for me -
Yes. I try to each day. Do I pray for others as much as I should - nope.
What would I like prayer for?
Off the top of my head - To open my eyes to possibilities. To not count things out before I really think about them.
