Rain, rain, go away

I can't believe I'm saying it, but we need a break from the rain. This is a pic from where daughter Carrie lives. There is a video on this news piece. She tells on her blog about being unable to get to work. And, of course, this was not a good weekend to leave her phone charger at our house. I mailed it yesterday morning, but apparently there is no mail delivery there. So... no work, no phone, no going anywhere, and what - one t.v. channel?? Hopefully she has some good books laying around. Stay safe, sweetie!

Getting to 75 is definitely not possible from where i live. My neighborhood is closed but my apartment complex is still looking okay. Its very sunny out right now but they said the rain should be here again this afternoon. I can walk to a gas station from here though. I think I have everything I need.

Wal Mart is under water. I almost cried. Wal Mart is my most favorite thing to do in Findlay.

I should be able to stay busy...I would like to take my driver's test saturday so I can study, and you know i have a lot of books. I can hang some more pictures. I found markers so I can draw pictures...any other suggestions are welcome. :)

a lot of seminarians are being serious affected. jim and jennie just had to go get a family who just moved here to start seminary this fall. their apartment was flooded to their waists... at least there are leftovers from yesterday at the seminary to feed folks.

stay dry in indiana!!

Poor Carrie (and a zillion others), but...

a drought here...and a heatwave. I don't ever remember so many days breaking 100 w/almost that much humidity.

What's with the extremes???

I can just hear the people at the Findlay visitor's center:

"Umm... have you seen the Wal-Mart?!"

"yeah... picked up some shoelaces."

(big exhale) "welp... there you go, then."

The wall that used to have glossy sheets of local attractions is now full of Wal-Mart fliers and coupons.
