Apparently Gerry Rafferty passed away yesterday (brief story here). One of the songs he wrote, while with the band Stealers Wheel, has always been sort of a background track playing in my head. 'Stuck in the Middle With You' is not only a really cool song (with a great video of it on youtube, HERE), but I've always felt it sort of described my place in ministry: too religious for the secular, and too secular for the religious. Which is fine with me. I prefer to be right in between - stuck in the middle with you. Anyway, as a salute to Gerry, I listened to some of his music yesterday.

No longer stuck in the middle with you
