Keeping cool

We survived that little cool streak nicely without turning on the furnace. It got down to the mid-30's the other night, and got no lower than 63f in the house. At least that was the upstairs temperature. It stays warmer in the basement. If it were up to me I would not run the heat until it got down to maybe 56, but I told Jane we could turn it on at 62. Maybe 60 would be a good compromise. I can remember when 58 was an acceptable number. But... we will see. It's supposed to warm up into the 70's again this week. I like this weather.
