Yesterday

Yesterday I had a meeting with Ben S. about the possibility of joining a coaching huddle. It went well. It was nice to finally meet him and have a sort of extended discussion. We met at the Old Crown Coffee Roasters on North Anthony.

After talking with Ben I came back to the office and ordered a couple of books by Mike Breen. I ordered 'Building A Discipling Culture' and 'Covenant and Kingdom' off the 3dm site. I am planning to attend a 3dm workshop on discipleship and mission in March in Fort Wayne. I was pretty excited to see they were having one here. Hopefully Jane and maybe a couple of other people will want to go too.

I'm just about done reading Scot McKnight's 'The King Jesus Gospel.' It was good at the beginning, seemed to drag a bit in the middle, but is really good again at the end. I think next I will read N.T. Wright's 'Simply Jesus.'

Jane met with a couple of ladies at our house last night, so I wandered around the Fort for a few hours. Then we stayed up way too late.

Today I have a lunch meeting in Huntington. Sometimes it's hard for me to remember that meetings and meeting up with people is part of my job. I suppose I still have some of that blue collar blood in me that thinks I need to punch a time clock, and any time I leave it's not work.
