Easter

In one sense, another Easter has come and gone. Though, regardless of how you like your eggs, this year's Easter Sunday was much different for most church-going folk.

We actually both took a shower and put on regular clothes (no pj's or sweats). Then we ventured out to the Feipel farm and had breakfast with the kiddos. We've been there a couple times during this stay-at-home order, and they've been to our house once or twice.

The granddaughter led us in a game of questions, and we had egg casserole, blueberry muffins, and cinnamon bread.

After eating we all sat down to watch their church service on Youtube. Their internet was being goofy so we didn't get to see the whole thing. Then we headed back to our house a little before noon. That was a pretty full day nowadays.

I guess later in the day we did take a 60-minute walk together, and talked to son Isaac and my mom on the phone later in the evening.

The two of us have yet to watch our church's Easter message. At least I guess it's our church. We consider Tom to be our pastor more than anyone else, even though we haven't been very good about getting involved there yet. Anyway, we will likely get around to watching the 20-30 minute message sometime today.

I like the fact that Tom just records a message. There is no big show or "virtual simulation" of a service. Just the message, and he sends some links out to different things at different times. I also prefer just a recorded service, so there are no glitches to deal with in internet connections and whatnot.

So, that was about the extent of our Easter "celebration" this year. We did not partake of any Holy Week observations, Jane's work did not have their usual Good Friday breakfast fundraiser, and Sunday was lower-key than usual. I'm not complaining...
