This week starts a new work schedule for me. Which also means a new daily schedule.
Beginning today I will work ten hours on Tuesdays - from 5 am to noon, and again from 4 to 7 pm. Then on Wednesdays I will work from noon to 4 pm. So I get an extra day to sleep past 3:50 am. Yipee!
It's only temporary (I think) while one of my coworkers is out having a baby. So, with the change to Tuesday and Wednesday, my schedule is now:
Monday 5 am - 1 pm
Tuesday 5 am - 12 pm; 4 pm - 7 pm
Wednesday 12 pm - 4 pm
Thursday 5 am - 1 pm
Friday 5 am - 9 am
Yeah, I have no idea why it has to be so complicated. I mean, we are open 5 days a week for 14 hours per day. I don't know why there aren't just two 7-hour shifts per day, for two 35-hour weeks. That way no one is working 40 hours (which the Y won't let happen because they don't want to provide benefits), and my boss could be available to cover any shifts that come open. But... I know... I'm just an idiot front desk person.
Anyway, I'm not complaining about getting to sleep in an extra day.
