The wife and daughter spent the weekend at the lovely Maumee Bay Lodge in northern Ohio. A mere two hours from our house, it's a cozy spot along the shore of Lake Erie. Sounds like they had a great and relaxing time of it.
We went there years ago when we lived in Ohio, and Jane has been wanting to return ever since. I guess I'm still not comfortable due to covid. She and Carrie were both in need of a little getaway though, so the two of them drove up Saturday morning and came home Sunday afternoon. I think they mostly just walked along the beach, and hung out together on the grounds and in the lodge. The important thing being that they weren't at home or work! :)
I did even less while they were gone. I had a list of things to do, but still nursing my sore left ankle, and with a couple dreary rainy days... I just lazed in the recliner watching movies and reading. And I'm not complaining!
So, that's about all there is to say about that. Someday I would like to visit this place again. Maybe when it's a little warmer.

"Oh, that I had wings like a dove;
then
I would fly away and rest!
I would fly far away
to
the quiet of the wilderness."
- Psalm 55:6-7
