We made a quick weekend trip to Buda. Our first of the year. As you can see from this screenshot on my phone, it was a wee bit chilly, but a good trip nonetheless.
All we really wanted/needed to accomplish on this trip was for Jane to fill out some final paperwork for my mom regarding my dad's death/finances. I also managed to tidy up her garage so we could fit our car in there along with my mom's.
Otherwise, Jane and my mom took a load of items to a resale shop in Princeton, and I went through some old books and stuff from the storage room. I found a few comics and other books from my childhood. I don't really remember reading comic books so much, but I remember the ads. I always wanted the pet squirrel monkey. These are from 1970-71.
Aside from it being bitter cold, there was also some snow Saturday afternoon/evening. We did make good time both there and back. About 4 1/4 hours there on Friday, and 4 hours coming home today. It's crazy how much lighter traffic is through the Gary-Joliet area anymore - I guess because of covid (not as many going in to work, or traveling in general).
Saturday night we had Jane's brother Mark and his wife over for supper. We ate a lasagna Jane had made at Thanksgiving that had been in the freezer ever since. It was still good.
So, that's about all there is to say about that. A pretty uneventful and relaxing trip. My favorite kind.

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9
