I guess I never did post about Thanksgiving this year. Of course now I can barely remember it.... but I'll give it a try.
I left on Wednesday (11/23) and went to get my mom. It was a miserable trip stuck in stop-and-go traffic for half of the 6 hours it took. We headed back to the Fort Thanksgiving morning and had no trouble - making it in 4 hours on the nose.
Isaac and Ricci arrived just after we got there. They had been at her mom's in Indy for the beginning of the week. The Feipel clan came over at some point Thanksgiving day and we had turkey for supper and just lay around the house the rest of the night.
This year it was Bennett's turn to be sick. Poor guy. He did at least rebound quite nicely.
Jane and I both had Thursday and Friday off work (paid) for a change. So it was nice the whole family could be together from Thursday until Sunday morning.
I can't remember what all we did. Not a lot other than lay around, watch TV, eat, and play dominoes. We did take a trip to the new Electric Works campus (formerly GE) and the Union Street Market downtown. That's where we got this family picture. Saturday night we all went to the Feipels for supper and a game (which I can never remember the name of but it's fun).
The Atlanta crew headed out Sunday morning, and Jane drove my mom home shortly after (and returned Monday morning).
It was a nice time.
