I think I'm doing this for real, but I can't be sure.
For the last week or so I've been having trouble distinguishing between my dreams and reality. And it's not just that I've been daydreaming. It's the opposite!
It's happened several times, but I can recall two in particular. The other night I was dreaming that I really had to pee and I was in some predicament (that I can't recall). Just then I woke up and... yep, I really had to pee!
Last night I was dreaming that we were in this venue listening to music, and someone's alarm started going off. One of those "reminder alarms" on a phone (my son-in-law's always seems to be going off). Guess what? I suddenly realized it was my phone alarm clock. It was time to get up! I don't know how long it had been going off before I was aware.
There have been others too that I can no longer remember.
Is this weird or what? It was a little unsettling the first time I noticed. Now it has me wondering about my ability to discern reality from fantasy. Is this yet another sign of aging? Does it happen to others? Am I losing my mind? Or... maybe it's some kind of sign.
I don't know, but somebody please tell me if I start wearing my pajamas to school...
