Randoms from psalms

Psalms 19:1-4 (CEV)
The heavens keep telling
the wonders of God,
and the skies declare
what he has done.
Each day informs
the following day;
each night announces
to the next.
They don't speak a word,
and there is never
the sound of a voice.
Yet their message reaches
all the earth,
and it travels
around the world.

Psalms 34:18-19 (CEV)
The Lord is there to rescue
all who are discouraged
and have given up hope.
The Lord's people
may suffer a lot,
but he will always
bring them safely through.

Psalms 49:4 (CEV)
I have in mind a mystery
that I will explain
while playing my harp.

Great pastoral advise! Always go to the psalms. They are prayers. They are prayers from the hearts of which we can connect emotionally. Because they are Sacred Scripture they are the answer to our prayers. When Martin Luther was spending 6 hours a day in prayer he wasn’t staring at his navel - he was reading the Psalms.
