Cold, sleep, downtown

I am tired of the cold and snow. Literally. Yesterday it never did get above 0 degrees fahrenheit. I think it was -13 when I woke up. Today it was clear up to -1 when I woke up and is maybe supposed to get to +11 at some point. I can't wait.

I think this cold also makes me sleepy. It kind of wears on the body. Jane and I even went to bed at 9 pm last night (mostly because of the State of the Union on TV) and slept until 6:30 am. So that's over NINE HOURS of sleep, and we're still tired this morning. I do not like winter. The only good thing about it is that it is eventually over..... but not soon enough.

Today I am going to work at our Downtown facility for the first time. I spent Monday and Tuesday with Drew, and it was really slow both days. Today I will train with the General Manager, then I have to go to Dupont and work from 3-5:30 because the person there needs to leave. I'm hoping I get to work with Drew at least one more day, because I'm supposed to cover for him this Saturday and then again on Monday. If it's no busier than it has been it won't be a problem, but hopefully things will pick up one of these days.

All in a days work, ya know...

it's an absolute fact that a cooling body is a tired body. And yeah, I've had it at this point too. Enough is enough already.
