Discovery bible studies

Tom has been telling me about these Discovery Bible Studies for a month or so. Someone we both know is using them in the Boston area. So I finally decided to check it out online.

It appears to be more of a bible study method. I can't really find a website or anything specific to it, but there are several that share the same method, and also have some links to further resources. I kind of like the idea. Basically, it is set up so anyone can lead a few other people in reading and studying the Bible. The following pdf gives instruction in how to lead a study, or simply do it yourself. They also break down passages to fit into different themes for study. Seems like a very simple formula.

What I like about this type of study method is... it's actually geared towards STUDY. It's not about just finding an answer to plug into a blank space. The idea is to lead people to DISCOVER the Bible/Jesus/God. My feeling is, if you can get people to that point, you'll have someone interested in discipleship.

This pdf seems to give the whole run-down on everything you need to know.

The nycinternationalproject has a nice site with links to simple outlines and other things.

Worldmissionsevangelism also has a nice page with links. They also share the basic outline, which is:
