If you remember from July of 2016 I was named in a lawsuit at work. The event - that I had nothing to do with - occurred on July 4th of last year, and I wrote about being sued here. Well, I guess it was settled out of court last week.
The lawyer for my work's insurance company actually rented a storage unit from me yesterday. He said the crazy lady who sued me (and the company) originally wanted something like $23,000. She ended up getting around $8,000. That was still waaaaay more than she should have gotten, but I'm glad it is over.
Of course, in typical fashion, I only found out about it because the lawyer happened to want a storage unit and I was the only person he knew in that field. Yeah.
