Pick My Blog Title

Okay, Robin-the-foot-pic doesn't like my new title. I can't say that I'm in love with it either. I was always worried that "Danno's Dangerous Mind" might sound a bit arrogant or something though... like, there's really anything dangerous about my mind. So, I thought I would ask your opinion (Yes, I mean YOU!). Which of my various blog titles trips your trigger? (I know you don't care, but pretend you do for a minute. And... this is a great way for any lurkers to come out of the closet - I WANNA HEAR FROM YOU!).

Vote for one in the comment area please:
- Danno's Dangerous Mind
- the blogged world of dan h.
- Dan's blog
- Peace Revolution
- Broken Whiskey Glass
- (it seems like there was another one, but I forget)
- Other ______________________

Tanks!

Great, Dan, just G R E A T!

This is now the SECOND time I've tried to post a comment >:( ! Blogger might just be Satan, because when it's screwy, I'm well on my way to losing my salvation (and my second attempt is never as brilliant as the first).

If by some freak of nature, you have two from me, delete the one you like least :).

My votes:

1) Trippin' your trigger
2) Peacevolution (or something like that)... Emergeolution? I have this thing about making up words.
3) DDM was good to me, didn't speak arrogance, lol, IT WAS A WARNING! j/k
4) Peace Revolution (that sounds like "you")
5) Broken Whiskey Glass (trying to decide the audience you might capture with that one...). That's the rebel in me speaking, look for my rails on the SBC alcohol resolution over at Pensieve.

If you've read me recently, you KNOW I can't make a decision;). At least I put 'em in order of preference.

Your friend,

Robin-the-foot-pic

I like Peace Revolution because I think that best describes what we should all be about - creating and dispensing peace in a very revolutionary sort of way. Next I would go with Danno's Dangerous Mind - sometimes revolutions are a little dangerous :) Now I'm going in circles....

peace revolution gets my vote. i agree with what mom and robin had to say about it. mostly, i think it "fits you."

When's the voting end? I want some time to be creative...

Robin, Jane, Carrie & Frank -

Thanks for casting your votes. You are now eligible for a prize of some sort at some point in history which may or may not come from me. :)

BTW...
- yes, blogger has been a booger lately (almost always, actually).
- Broken Whiskey Glass is a song title (one of my favorite songs by Jason & the Scorchers).
- Frank, that title suggestion is much too long.
- I'm not sure when the voting period will end. Maybe it'll be an eternal sorta thing.

Thanks again for chiming in. There's still time for the rest of you to redeem yourselves!

Peace. Revolution.

"Broken Whiskey Glass" is pretty cool, even if I'm not too happy about the spelling. It also hints a bit at the Mark 2:22 imperative. If you're in a sour mood, you could resort to calling this blog "My Broken Whine-Skin" (heh!)

"Book em, Danno"
(chapters from the life of a small church pastor)

(I may be back later. I have 30 plus minutes in the morning before I go to work that I chase through all my blogs. Robin sent me)

Darrell & Pamela,
My, oh, my... now you've went and made things difficult. Those are both EXCELLENT ideas. This may be harder than I'd originally thought. Your names have also been added to the prize drawing. Thanks for your input.

I also like Peace Revolution, I like the way it rolls off the eye ( I AM reading it, ya know).

I was thinking if you want something a little edgy, how about:

Petrified, and loving it...

Then maybe underneath something personal about The Rock. No not that one, I ment You Know Who. :D

Or how about:

Red Letter Redemption...
(or Redemption in Red)
Living by His word, one day at a time.

I really enjoyed reading your blog, have a good one!

Mert,
Good ideas. Okay, you're entered in the drawing too. Thanks for stopping by.

Dan

Came here by way of Robin...

Not sure about the title Broken Whiskey Glass...(I have to agree, the audience)

I do like Peace Revolution, sounds good and a bit edgy..

Or you just do Steely Dan =)) Or Snap, Crackle, Pop (since you said you eat cereal everyday =))

I too came here because of Robin the foot pic. Another vote for Peace Revolution :)

Okay - I stopped by before, but was dumbfounded as to what a good title would be....then Robin called me on it....so I felt challenged to come up with something clever - besides my best Homer Simpson impersonation (Broken Whiskey Glass good - doh)

So - I read some of your posts and decided that the best name for your blog is: (drum roll please)

Revolutionary Peaces (get it? A kind of play on words....)

Am another one Robin-the-foot-pic sent over. :)

How about:
Revolutionary Rector
Divine Dan

I like the Steely Dan or Revolutionary Peaces too!!! Good work you guys!!!

Can't wait to see the new name!!

peace revolution is an oxymoron
..............
I don't like it (who care? ha)

1) Raisin Dan
(growing in a small church)
2)Sinningman crunch
Spicing up a preachers blog

3) Alpha (omega) bits
A preachers small blog
4)Son Flakes
Don't start your morning without HIM

Hoo, boy - if the literary origins of "Steely Dan" were to get back to your congregation, there'd be some splainin' to do! As for Peace Revolution, I keep thinking of an old Larry Norman song, "PEACEPOLLUTIONREVOLUTION", which was about as subtle in its message as any of his songs. Not that that should in any way limit you, my friend.

17 comments. Maybe you should name this blog "Friend of the Foot Pic'!

Laurel Wreath, Debs, Karmyn, Julie, and Pamela,
Thank you so much for stopping by and adding your expertise to this quest for the perfect title to my blog. And Darrell, I am forever indebted to you setting us straight and keeping me from the embarrassingly over-stimulating title of Steely Dan. I don't know if I could have lived up to that moniker. :)

My mind is currently much too muddled to make a decision between all these fine suggestions. However, I feel Robin-the-foot-pic has definately shown herself to be the winner of the contest, for rounding up the most voters (even if she did toot her own horn). So... Robin... you have my permission to select your finest chocolates today. Put your feet up and enjoy!

Thanks everybody!

May I vote for two? ::

Peace Revolution
Broken Whiskey Glass

I've not read enough of your GLOB
( how my "brian" sees it) to choose one of my own... will get to your stories this afternoon.

Brian said...

I prefer Danno's Dangerous Mind.

I will spare you the words I'd like to use right now because Blogger just obliterated my brilliant comment, another one lost in cyberspace...BIG grrrrrrrrrrr >:( The second ones are never as good. Plus, 1) I don't use those words in print--I only think 'em (for the most part, as you know ;) ), and 2) you ARE a pastor and all, that respect thing going on.

THAT being said, Pamela must've been hungry when she came up with her second batch; maybe she was just going with that cereal theme.

And, whoooooooa on Steely Dan! I liked that until Darrell enlightened you. You owe him some chocolate, too. Geezaree! Wikipedia to the rescue again.

BTW, swampwitch is lysdexic...

And in the blogosphere, chocolate = being added to your sidebar ;).

I'm with Brian, DDM is still my favorite (unless you WERE being arrogant, in which case perhaps you should use SD). Second choice, peacerevolution.

Looking forward to your decision.

Go with Peace Revolution (or some other combination of those two word ideas).

I'll visit you no matter what though.

Swampwitch, Brian, Chris,
Thanks so much for adding your input. Unfortunately I haven't been giving it much thought because my head has felt like it was in a vice since yesterday morning. I will eventually make a decision though.

Robin-the-foot-pic,
I feel your blogger pain. And, oops, I just thought you like chocolate. :)

later,
dh
