Jamaica or Cancun?

I think part of my problem lately has been trying to find a vacation destination for next year. I've looked at too many resort websites.... and I'm starting to wish I were there already. Especially after spending the last 2 1/2 hours sitting on the lawn mower (which is much better than the 3 1/2 it used to take).

Right now I think we're trying to decide between Jamaica - maybe Montego Bay; and Cancun. Probably something in the "all-inclusive" variety, and either a "couples only" or at least "adult only." No offense to kids, but... we're looking for a relaxing time. And this is a 'once-in-a-lifetime' sorta thing.

We need to get to work on getting passports, though Florida is still an option. Still open for suggestions... (but, no, you cannot go with us). :)

So this guy starts dating a girl named Wendy and falls in love with her. So much so that he gets her name tattooed in a very private place. Later at the gym, he notices a dreadlocked guy in the showers with the same tattoo in the same very private place. "HEY!" he exclaims, indicating his tattoo. The guy says "Don't worry Mon, mine says 'Welcome to Jamaica, have a nice day!'"

I would be remiss if I did not put a plug in for Vegas.
The wife and I are heading there in 2 weeks. You can get a heck of a good deal through Allegiant Air out of Fort Wayne.
Sit by the pool, take in some shows, do whatever you would like....Best of all, Zero chance that a hurricane will roll through and ruin the vacation.

MR,
You continue to crack me up.

Cris,
Yes, Vegas was a consideration. I've heard there are good deals through Allegiant. Thanks for the input. And have a good time!

I'd definitely vote for Cancun. Julie and I have gone twice and loved it both times, especially the all-inclusive aspect. Definitely go for all-inclusive - it's so nice not to have to worry about anything the whole week and not to have to even pay for anything if you don't want to.

You can get some really cheap Cancun packages that even include airfare on eBay. That's where we got ours. Check it out.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I do think we're leaning towards Cancun. Everyone we've talked to that's been there has had good things to say. For sure we want to do "all-inclusive" - for the reasons you stated.

I'm ready to be there! :)
