Presence of the Lord

I am grieving for and with a friend today. One of those things where I don't have any idea what to say, but I feel like I've been exactly where they are. When this happens I will often pick up the guitar, and this was the first song that came to mind. I've played it for years and years, but until looking it up today didn't realize I was singing slightly different words. Anyway, I like this version by Clapton and Winwood from 2007 - even though it was originally done by Blind Faith in 1969. Supposedly this was the first complete song Eric Clapton wrote. My favorite version is actually done by Glenn Kaiser, Darryl Mansfield, and Larry Howard - but I can't remember what album and can't seem to find it now.

I had forgotten about this song, but you're right, it's a great one and an perfect one to think of.
