I was reviewing our weekly giving for the year and I thought this was interesting: Our lowest and highest offerings of the year were on back to back Sundays, and they were the last two Sundays of the year. Dec. 21 was $1009.00, and Dec. 28 was $3497.00. Every other Sunday was somewhere in between. Weird.

Dec. 21 - "It's right before Christmas, we've spent all our money on gifts."
Dec. 28 - "Oh, man, it's the end of the tax year...Quick! A charitable deduction!"

While I'm sure that's the case in some churches, I don't think that's what happened here. At least I don't think so.
