This is "A Prayer for the New Year" from Henri Nouwen, on p. 210 of '
The Only Necessary Thing.' To be honest, I'm not sure I can even pray this today. It is such a daring and dangerous prayer. Perhaps my prayer is that I might be able to pray it...
Father, I abandon myself into your hands.
Do with me whatever you will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you.
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me,
and in all your creatures.
Into your hands I commend my spirit.
I offer it to you with all the love that is in my heart.
For I love you, Lord, and so want to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands,
without reserve and with boundless confidence,
for you are my Father.
Amen.

Wow. While we're being honest, I'm not sure there are many days I would dare to pray it. I pray that I, too, am worked ever closer to such surrender.
