It occurred to me the other day as I was cleaning the house before our party... A person should probably throw a party - or at least invite some people over - every few months, if for no other reason than to have an excuse the clean the house. Even if it's just tidying up a bit. I think it feels good to have a clean house. But I also feel really good after having guests come over. Besides the fact that I think entertaining guests is becoming a lost art in our culture.
I think those are two things we need to try to recapture: hospitality, and cleanliness. At least hospitality. Cleanliness is ALWAYS good. I think.
Eh... I'm kind of running out of stuff to write about...

I know exactly what you're talking about. You're never so proud of your home as after a bunch of people have had a blast there and wobbled out into the night. hmm... "Wobbled Out Into the Night" may be the name of my first album. Anyway, yeah! Love a clean house, too. After I get it paid off I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a maid service come in to vacuum, dust, Windex and Pledge once a week. Maybe a bi-yearly treatment of "Liquid Gold" on the antiques. It's on the list after replacing the carpeting.
