We had our first fertilization done this year on our lawn. We renewed our contract with Spring-Green again after hiring our lawn care out for the first time last year (not counting mowing). We were happy with the way things turned out and they service several other lawns in our neighborhood. I am hoping that the lawn will look even better this year because we got kind of a late start last year.
Yesterday was the "early spring visit." They applied 25-0-5 fertilizer at the rate of .7 pound of nitrogen per 1000 square feet. This will allow the lawn to wake up from winter dormancy and put nutrients back in for the growing season.
So, that's that. Today seems oddly chilly compared to the unusually warm weather we've been having, but the low to mid 30's is probably normal.
