I replaced the air filter in our furnace yesterday afternoon. If my blog records are correct, the last time it was done was in..... 2011! Yikes! It's supposed to be done once a year. Oh well. I guess that explains why the old one was so dirtly. :)
We have one of those big honkin' air filters on our furnace. It's a 201 Aprilaire Media Air Cleaner model 2200. I bought this one online maybe a couple years ago. Just hadn't gotten around to changing it. Fortunately I'd linked to this youtube video from when I blogged about it the last time. There are a few tricks it's helpful to know about when changing.
So, now that I have that done, maybe we can actually run the furnace at some point. :) It was 61f when I got up this morning. Inside. We've had it colder, but I guess it's inevitable we're going to have to bite the bullet eventually.
