Today is daughter Carrie Jade's 33rd birthday. My, oh my!!! I thought about using a more recent pic, but still love this one of her family from last summer. As is the case (I suppose) with most energetic, vibrant young women, she continues to grow in beauty and grace with every passing year.
Carrie is still a full-time stay-at-home mom with a 7, 5, and 4 year-old. That doesn't include the several other area children who are usually hanging around the house and yard too.
She is also still employed at the downtown YMCA. I don't honestly know what her specific job is - probably membership enrollment - but I think she's reaching a point where she offers way more than just what she's paid for.
Not only does she still work at the Y, but she still works out like a maniac too. She's big into fitness classes and bootcamps, but also just doing stuff on her own at home. She is gradually turning her children into little fitness fanatics as well (at least a couple of them).
And... baking continues to be one of her main hobbies, along with reading (of course). I don't know of anyone who reads more than she does, and that makes me glad.
So, in this year where her daughter passes from 1st to 2nd grade, the oldest son will move into kindergarten, and the youngest starts preschool at the same school as the other two... this should be quite a year for my lovely daughter. I'm sure there will be changes, and I'm even more sure she will navigate them like a champ!
