I have heard people refer to a "100-degree temperature change" last week. Me thinks that might be a bit exaggerated. However, I do know for a fact we had at least a 70 degree Fahrenheit ACTUAL temperature change from Thursday to Sunday of this past week. That's nothing to sneeze at in 3 1/2 days!
I'm guessing some of the 100-degree stuff is due to reports of -50 wind chills. This is true, but as for actual temperature... it went from -15f on Wednesday/Thursday to a warm and sunny 55f Sunday. That's just crazy. In other words, the polar vortex turned into a bipolar vortex!
Today has been a few degrees shy of 55, and it's raining, but it feels like Spring still. The snow is almost gone, and I'm hoping it will all wash away before the temps cool back down again.
Anyway, weird weather stuff...
