Carrie turns 34
We work for the same company, attend the same church, and share many personality traits (or is it quirks?). :) Today is daughter Carrie's 34th BIRTHDAY!!!
A lot has happened in her life this past year. All three kids are now in school, their house caught on fire, they have a new roof, a new (used) van, and she started a new job - just to name a few things.
She is still at the Y, but I believe her title is now Administrative Assistant (or something like that). It is quite a step up, at least in responsibility (it's the Y, so pay isn't ever much of a factor). She is also in the executive training program, so one of these days I can see her having a bigger office, and even bigger impact on the lives of others.
Of course, even working more hours away from home doesn't mean she isn't still a full-time mama. I'm not sure how she juggles the three kids - and now they are all involved in various activities like gymnastics, baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, etc. - work, working out, reading, cooking, and everything else she does. She's just a little amazing, if I do say so myself.
One of the similarities between us is our level of devotion to... devotional reading. I feel it is one of my finer qualities, and she exceeds me in this area. She's into books, blogs, instagram, and podcasts, and I admire her thirst not only for more information, but transformation as well. I hope she never loses that yearning for learning.
So, hopefully 34 will be another big year - although maybe without the house fire and things.
Happy Birthday, Sweetie!! I love you!
