The Feipel Five moved to a new home this past weekend. They are now residing at Drew's grandparents old home just outside the city limits on the southeast side (Tillman Road & Wayne Trace).
They had been planning to move there once Drew's grandma could no longer live there. They were also fortunate in that one of their best friends bought their old house on Cottage Avenue. So the whole thing was done without a realtor.
It's a big house, with a big 5-car garage, and a giant yard. While the southeast side of town isn't known for prime real estate in Fort Wayne, it will be a nice country-ish setting for the kids to grow up in. And, while it's the opposite direction from our house to their old one, it's actually almost the same exact distance from our house - four miles straight east on Tillman. It will be a tad bit longer of a drive for all of them to their work and school, but not terrible.
I guess I don't even have a picture yet. There is still some painting and carpet-replacing and things that need done, but it is livable. While it would have been nice to get everything done before they moved in, they were somewhat stuck between the family removing contents, and the buyer of their house wanting in. I'm sure it will all work out.
So, just like that, they no longer live downtown, but now on the outskirts of town. :)
