I ordered some new books - mostly for our upcoming vacation. We already have some others I'd like to read also, but vacation seems like a good reason to buy more.
'To A God Unknown' will continue my routine of reading John Steinbeck on vacation. I was hoping this would be a longer book, but I look forward to it nonetheless. I suppose he is my favorite fiction writer - though I haven't read a lot of fiction. So, yes, he's my favorite. I will likely read this first.
'Chi Running: A Revolutionary Approach to Effortless, Injury-Free Running' is one I just sort of happened across while looking for a running book. It is certainly something I can use, since it seems "injury-free" has been evading me for awhile. I don't know much about it, but I at least hope it's a worthwhile read.
'Cross Country: A 3,700-Mile Run to Explore Unseen America' was one I threw into the mix because it was apparently on sale at the time for like $3. It's a really nice (and heavy) book, with lots of pictures. It may be too heavy to pack, but looks kind of interesting. I may save this one for later reading at home - who knows - but I thought, "How bad can it be for $3?"
I will throw the Kindle in the suitcase too, as I have a ton of books on there still to read. I never really know how much I'll get done on a vacation. Really, though, I guess it doesn't matter!
