Maybe it's not deja vu, but we just forget things.
I think I've thought this 'less is more' before, and it seems I even told you about it. Anyway, it came up again recently and made just as much sense as the first time.
I get a daily email from this guy named Josh Spector. I used to browse his weekly emails, but kind of gave up reading them. Then he tried an experiment. He sent one paragraph emails every day (sometimes just one sentence!). By golly... I read those WAY more than the weekly email. Why? Because they're shorter! I can give them a glance and either contemplate, or move on.
The other day he linked to this article that starts with this:
There are 2 things I have come to believe about writing:
- The average person should write 5x more things than they do.
- The average written thing should be 5x shorter than it is.
There it is.
I've thought that. I've tried it. I believe it! So why don't I do it? Well, you know, there's work and I'm tired and all that. But I'm going to try doing it again (Of course you all know how that usually goes).
Anyway, it was something. And that's how I made my way through that day.

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.” -Hebrews 1:1-2
