The church track

Not to be confused with a religious tract, I think I’ve found a running track of sorts at a nearby church.

There’s a Methodist church just down the street from our house. Sometimes I will run down there, do a lap around their blacktopped driveway, and head off towards the rivergreenway.

Since it’s a bit of a challenge getting to the greenway now with 4-5 inches of snow, I wasn’t sure how I was going to keep my outdoor running streak going.

Well, yesterday I jogged the 3/4 mile down to the church, and discovered it's right at 1/4 mile around their driveway. So far they have kept it pretty well plowed. So, 3/4 mile there, 14 laps around, 3/4 mile back... and I've got my 5 miles! Yippee!!

Maybe I can make it through these winter days by running circles around a church! Although it was -9F this morning, and only supposed to be a high of 12 degrees today, so we'll see.
