My "long run" this past week was just a 10k (6.2 miles). Single digits was nice, and it was a negative positive.
It was my fastest 10k in quite some time (56:10), and the second 5k was the fastest in awhile too (27:03). I know I've run both faster, but it's probably been like 10 years or so.
Anyway, what was "negative" was my splits. I ran each mile faster than the previous (called "negative splits").
I didn't really set out to run this fast. And, again, I'm saying "fast" relative to myself. My fast times are slower than average... but they're mine. I wanted to run more at 'race pace' than a traditional long run (which is at a slower pace). This is what my splits looked like, in order from the first mile to 6th:
I usually run faster at the end than the beginning, but I was surprised every mile got faster. I wasn't even trying. Kind of like last year when I had two half marathons at exactly 10-minute/miles. Haha. Sometimes it just happens. :)
This week and next week my long runs are 11 and 12 miles each. I don't expect the same negatives, but I was happy last Friday was positive.

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:6-8
