I've kept a journal for a long time. Long, long time. I used to use regular ol' notebooks. Then I changed to top-bound notepads (because I write left handed). One day my daughter started buying me these Moleskine journals. Notebooks are fine, but these are finer.
Apparently they've stopped making the full-size top bound though. Which is just stupid.
Anyway, a friend sent me one of these top bound 'pocket' notepads. So I think I'm going to use it for a bit.
Of course, you can't write as much. I used to write out how I was feeling, things going on, or my thoughts about my devotional reading for the day. There were also a good many prayers recorded.
Now I'm thinking of either just jotting down a thought or two, or maybe I'll start listing "I want" and "I don't want."
I read about a guy who, every day writes down 5 things he wants, and 5 things he doesn't want. Like, "I want to read more," or "I want to learn a new language," to "I don't want to drink anymore." Things like that.
We'll see.
