My life is changingCan you guess who wrote/sang this tune, and the name of the song?
in so many ways
I don't know who
to trust anymore
There's a shadow running
thru my days
Like a beggar going
from door to door.
My life's been changin. I have a confession to make: I haven't been eating cereal every day for lunch. The past two Tuesday's I've went to Subway and got a foot-long Tuna on wheat - ate half Tuesday and the other half Wednesday. I feel like such a deceiver. :(
Today I started mowing the lawn backwards too. No, not in reverse... but I usually start in the same place, and today I started where I usually end. But mowing in reverse sounds innaresting (neil young used that word in his autobiography a lot).
A MAJOR change in our household took place tonight. Um... I actually did try to eat cereal for lunch today (Super Sugar Crisp), but the milk was sour. So we had to go buy new milk tonight... and we bought a HALF GALLON instead of a GALLON! Wow... we're a half-gallon house now! I thought only people like my parents bought milk by the half gallon. Arghh.
Who do you trust?
Don't trust this post. It has no meaning. Sorta. Other than the fact that the aforementioned song has played in my head for like 30 years now. It has nothing to do with my wife. It's one of those things where... I mean... everybody has music constantly playing in their head, right? That song has been on heavy rotation for as long as I can remember.
But tonight... tonight... I also heard again another song that sorta played there long before I heard it. I don't really know who it's by - Snow Patrol or something. Anyway, awhile ago I copied a line and put it into the notepad on my phone:
If I just lay hereHmm. That's a rather captivating thought to me. It could mean a million things. I don't trust it, but for some reason I like it. If I lay here... would you...' you know. CAN you forget about the world? Should we forget about the world? Hmm. Could go both ways.
Would you lie with me
and just forget the world?
Ahhh... I think you either get it or you don't. Probably, the truth is, I don't. But I love that line.
You do always hear music playing, don't you?
A half gallon of milk. And Tuna. What is this world coming to...
Peace, my friends. We need a revolution. Or... a man needs a ____.

Don't know what song you were referring to, but the first couple of lines also sort of appear in the Beatles' "Help."
When I get a song stuck in my head, I blog about it, ad nauseum, to the eventual disgust of my readers. So if you don't like the Backstreet Boys' "Incomplete," ignore my blogs for a while...
Nice try, Ontario, but it is not a Beatles tune. For a participation award you receive a heart-felt "thank you." :)

Neil Young, "A Man Needs a Maid".
Sheesh.......men....;)
