Well mow me down

Our church bought a new mower (on the right). Quite an upgrade size-wise from the old one. Went from a 34" cut to a 54" cut. And this new "conquest" model is f-i-n-e. We bought it used, but I am sooooo glad we got it. I mowed last night (and even had to use the headlights), and I'm not sure, but it will probably take 45 minutes to an hour off my mowing time. Both mowers are Simplicities, which I like for the rollers (I like the stripes it makes when you mow back and forth).

See... I can actually write a positive post! :)

So, you DO have to mow the yard. I wondered how that came out.

How will you ever do sermon prep with 45 minutes less mowing time? Or are you one of those guys who mows with Dylan blaring through your mp3 player?

I'm glad to hear you mow and night. Better for the environment you know...

I too wondered how the "Do I have to mow?" question came out. :-) And we KNEW you had a positive post in you!

Now it's time to get serious - http://www.letsmow.com/

You got a Simplicity? Dang... I wish I had one. Mine is a Complexity (R), it's got a dashboard like a Boeing 747 and requires a co-pilot to engage the mower blade.

Oh, I didn't have to mow at first. Long story, but someone else did, then Isaac started doing it, and I've only recently been mowing. I get paid extra for it too. Plus, I have always LIKED mowing. I couldn't stand it when someone else was mowing the grass around my house. Not because they did a bad job necessarily, but because I have mowed yards since I was like 9 years old. I consider mowing to be art, actually. And it's one of the few things I can do where, when I'm done, I know I'm done until the next time.
