Our dog is so bright...

He's gotta wear (a) shade. A lamp shade that is. (bonus points if you can guess the song reference, and band name).

Poor little conehead. Actually it's an e-collar, which he has to wear for the next 2 weeks. You can see the sore he's licked on his left arm in the top photo. I know he hates wearing this, but he's being a sport about it. And he hasn't been licking his paws.

That would be in reference to one of my (other) favorite bands of the 80s: Timbuk3. Sure is a trick getting hold of their music twenty years later....

Bogie always has to be the life of the party, drinking too much and sporting the lampshade.

So did you tell Carrie and Isaac they have to move back in to cure Bogey of separation anxiety?

WP,
Congratulations on your answer! For your prize I will personally autograph my copy of your book. :)

Which, btw, I actually just recommended to a friend last night.

MR,
The funny thing about your comment is that the dog was actually supposed to BE Carrie and Isaac's. But I understand - Carrie lives in a no-pet apartment, and with Isaac being at college Bogie would be too tempted by all the partying going on around there. :)

yeah, so I guess either way he ends up wearing the lampshade.

And if he's got empty nest syndrome, I'm betting the move to an apartment would really be traumatic for him.

I was thinking about how much LOUDer everything would be. That thing must really funnel the noise. It's probably better than miracle ear.
