Playing the conga & djembe

I've been trying to find some resources for playing hand drums. So far I found these three that looked better than some of the other ones. I especially liked the one from expert village, but didn't get a chance to watch all of it.

Here is a link to the djembe in the picture. I wouldn't mind having one of these.

Our church has a nice set of conga's and bongo's. If anyone knows of any "how to" guides or lessons to help someone get better at them, I would be interested.

I would suggest browsing the videos at Steve Weiss (http://www.steveweissmusic.com/category/ethnic-percussion-videos).

They have a pretty large selection (books too). Something to remember, propper hand drumming should not hurt the hands or cause blisters.

The best resource is to find someone to study with...a lot of "hand drummers" just bang away.
