Office air and other stuff

I finally decided to put the air conditioner in my office window yesterday. I really hate to run it, because the only place I can put it isn't where I want it, and it blows right on my face and makes me not feel good sometimes, and... Well, anyway, it finally got to the point where none of the reasons I have for not wanting to install it outweighed how stinking hot it was. I just about lost it Monday, so yesterday I put it in and it was pretty nice. I don't like how loud it is though. I can't hear anything, and I've never been a big fan of air blowing on my face. But I suppose I will survive.

I also updated my Firefox yesterday. I had switched over to Google Chrome awhile back, but I just didn't like it. So I went back to Firefox. However, after just getting on Google+ it said that my browser didn't support it. So I updated... and it's funny just how much the newest version of Firefox looks like Google Chrome. Hmmm...

That's one of the reasons I am not so interested in Google+. It's like Google is trying to take over the world. Sure, I like their search engine still - I could never get used to Bing - but they're becoming a real Walmart, and I don't really like that. I know Facebook has its drawbacks - shoot, I don't think there has been one Facebook "improvement" that I've liked - but I still like the versatility of it.

I suppose someday none of this stuff will be around anyway. I'm already a dinosaur because I still blog. I guess that's just the way it is.

On a cheerier note... I do think I got most of the stains out of the hallway carpet at church. That's another one of those things that someone else used to do, and for whatever reason they no longer do it. I suppose I did something to make them mad or something. Ugh. Anyway, I worked at that for quite awhile yesterday. Not that anyone will probably notice. People only notice when there are terrible stains, not when there aren't. Kinda like life.

I still have mail piled up to the next shelf. I swear, I am going to whittle that down at some point this week. I almost think these weeks where I don't have to prepare a sermon are busier than the ones where I do. I get busy trying to 'catch up' and end up running out of time.

On a totally unrelated note... we saw the movie 'Horrible Bosses' last night, and even though it's pretty crude, it is funnier than heck. That's the most I have laughed out loud in a long, long time. It is a million times funnier than the Hangover movies. Lots of people in it that I like though, so I'm sure that makes a difference.

I've started using olive oil on my toast instead of butter again. I like it, but sometimes I get too much and it's kind of oily.

It is now another day. Peace out; and in.

I generally prefer Firefox over Chrome, too. Especially if you install NoScript on Firefox, browsing sites becomes so much easier, uncluttered, non-pop-upped. But I have 'em both, just in case there's a site where I actually want all that flashy stuff.
