I trimmed the bushes on the east side of the house yesterday. Fortunately there are only four, but it is a pain nonetheless. It didn't help that it was hotter than heck, and I had just run 4 miles. At least it is done. I also hit the bush outside our south bedroom window with the trimmer.
I can't really believe my electric hedge trimmer still even works. I've had it since we lived in Illinois and I don't think I've ever sharpened it or anything. Not that it's overly sharp, but still...
Glad that's done. I also pulled a few weeds. But there are about a million more of those that need taken care of.

I always use chemical warfare on the weeds. I just buy the Ortho Weed-b-Gone or whatever they're calling it this week, screw it to the hose and sweep the whole lawn with it. It's not supposed to affect vegetation or plants, but if you're concerned about it, they also have a premixed jug with a very precise sprayer. Hmm... you know, if I keep working from home, maybe I should just commit to doing my own yard treatment next year and keep the $ going to Chemlawn. HMMMM!....
