Team addison

I had never seen the TV show The Voice. We aren't much for TV in general, and never have gotten into these singing/dancing/reality-type shows. However, we watched the other night when Addison Agen performed. She is a 16-year-old from our church. I'm still not sure how the show works, but this was her "blind audition." She has a mind-bogglingly mature voice, and we have always been astounded by how good she is. It has been a privilege to hear her on a fairly regular basis when she leads worship. We don't really "know" the family, but it's a fairly small church so we certainly know who they are. All of them participate on various worship teams at church. Her mom is a fabulous worship leader (on guitar and piano), but she hasn't done so much lately since having a newborn last year. Her dad and brother both play bass frequently, her dad also plays electric guitar on occasion. Addison has led singing, and plays guitar and piano as well. I think everyone wondered why she hadn't been around much all summer. Now we know. She had been auditioning!

So, I don't really know much more than that, but it's pretty cool to have someone from the church we're part of be on TV. I guess. Anyway, we are very happy for her.
