Jane turns the speed limit

Yesterday was the lovely Lady Jane's birthday. I posted this pic on Facebook from when she was a high school cheerleader. Still looks just like her.

Otherwise, it was a pretty uneventful day. That seems to be our routine lately. Go to work; come home; eat supper; go to bed. We did actually pick up Shigs'n'Pit and take it to Drew Carrie's, where we ate and enjoyed a birthday cake Carrie made.

I did my usual and made a card for M'Lady. However, instead of using MS Publisher, I took an idea from my friend Mike and used Greeting Island to make it online. I was able to cut it down to fit perfectly in the envelopes we have at work.

I also had some flowers delivered to Jane's office, and bought her a hand-made necklace at Creative Women of the World. It's a pretty cool store with a neat mission and vision of global empowerment through creative design. One day I was sitting at my desk trying to think of what to get Jane, and my eyes landed on their store across the street from my work. One of the first things I saw was this "Tree of Life" necklace, and after looking around a few minutes, I just decided to get it. Turns out the cashier had made it herself!

So, that's pretty much all that happened on this birthday. She did get a card from her Colorado brother, and her oldest brother called and left her a v-mail, as did son Isaac. We were in bed asleep by 8:30, and now it's another day. Such is life...
