Wedding anniversary #37

Today is our 37th wedding anniversary. Yay for us! We actually got engaged two years prior to marriage, so we are almost to 40 years of being together. Certainly a testament to M'Lady's patience and grace.

This year is a little different than most, what with the COVID-19 pandemic and being in stage 2 of the state of Indiana's re-opening strategy. Jane is working today - though only until noon because she cannot work more than 30 hours a week - and I am home collecting unemployment because my workplace is still closed.

Tonight, instead of going out to eat like we normally would, we are planning to order from our favorite restaurant (07 Pub) and eat at home. They just reopened for carryout this week. Even if we could go 'out' (some restaurants are open at 50% capacity for dine-in), we would probably not. Not yet.

We had planned to buy new bikes for our anniversary, but the bikes we wanted are out of stock. Actually, ALL Linus bikes are currently out of stock. They are supposed to have some more made in June. We were a little bummed about that. So, instead, this is what we will be having...

It's supposed to be a rainy stormy day, which is about what it was like on our wedding day.

I feel pretty lucky and blessed to have a wife like I do. I couldn't imagine life any other way.
