First run in ghost the 13

I took the first run in my new Brooks Ghost 13 shoes yesterday. It was a little over 5 miles, plus another mile+ walk. They felt great!

I'd worn them around the house and to work a couple days. Yesterday was the first time I snugged the laces at all though. I am still wearing the laces looser than I used to when running, but I wear them loose enough to slip on while at work.

There is nothing like those first few runs in a new pair of shoes. I don't know what it is (well, okay, it's because they're new), but I wish they could make a pair of shoes that kept that 'bounce' in your step longer than a week or two.

Anyway, I will alternate between these and my Ghost 11s for a couple weeks when I do the Triple Crown. Then I will likely transition the 11s into my daily work shoes and begin the hunt for a second pair of running shoes to purchase online. Prices should start dropping in the next couple weeks. I'd like to try another kind of shoe - maybe the Hoka Rincon - and also maybe get another Ghost 13 too.

'Tis the season!
