We spent the weekend in Buda. Left the Fort after Jane got off work Friday and arrived around 9pm central time. It took an extra hour getting through Culvers and construction in Warsaw. Ugh. We came back Sunday - leaving there at 11 (their time) and arriving home at 4 (our time). A 4-hour trip is better than a 5-hour trip. I wish we didn't have to change time zones though. Adding that extra hour coming home is such a drag.
Jane mostly spent her time at her brother Keith's house in Sheffield. Saturday I changed a couple of my mom's clocks (DST), changed out an electrical outlet, picked up sticks in the yard, tried to figure out why her garage door opener on the wall wouldn't work (never did), got her little garage door to close, and... watched the Final Four.
All in all it was a fairly relaxing weekend. I was happy to avoid seeing anyone, though I do feel bad when we don't go to church with my mom. I'm sure she would appreciate it, but it's just too much for me. Having old ladies make a fuss, and shaking hands with people and such... I know I should be better, but being there stresses me out something fierce. So, the disappointment continues...
***
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.- Psalm 51:10-12
