Stopping an escape is probably always a good idea. Especially my 2011 Ford Escape XLT 2.5L.
The front brakes had been a bit wonky for a couple weeks. The pedal was hard and then the pads were not releasing when I went to go. So I finally called our local garage last week and made an appointment (actually I did it online). I wasn't expecting it to be quite so much though...
- Front brake pads
- Front rotors
- Front calipers
- Front brake hoses
- Brake fluid
While they were doing all that I went ahead and had the spark plugs and the transmission fluid replaced too. Ugh. $1500!
They also said I need a new battery and the fuel injectors cleaned. I will get a battery myself.
This vehicle has been good to us, and I feel fortunate we are able to pay a bill like this on the spot. Still, it was a bit unexpected. Oh well. Hopefully it will keep going for another 100,000 miles or so (~110,000 now).
That's about as exciting as I can make this entry...
