The weekend and such

Seems like I haven't had much time lately to write anything on the blog. Not sure what I'd do if I had an actual job and whatnot. I still don't have the pictures from Bennett's party loaded, but here is a brief rundown of things nonetheless.

Isaac and his new bride, Ricci, were here Saturday and Sunday. They came for Bennett's party and then had a rare overnight away from the Exodus House. They stayed at our house. We went out after the party Saturday night, then they stayed and went to church with us Sunday. It was their first time at Grace Gathering. Afterward we all went out (with the Feipel's) for lunch at Bob Evans. Then we hung out at the house for awhile in the afternoon. Carrie brought Anna and Bennett over and we just visited and lounged around until Isaac and Ricci had to leave late afternoon-ish. It was good to see them again. I think the first time since they were married.

Sunday night when Carrie went to leave Anna wanted to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and it's just kind of hard to tell here no when she asks so sweet. Jane didn't have to go to work until noon Monday, so we let her stay. She was pretty sweet the whole night and we had fun. She watched movies on the portable dvd player and we let her stay up until she fell asleep on the couch. She slept all night until about 7 the next morning. She woke up and wanted to watch a movie and have ice cream. We watched movies, but she had an Eggo waffle instead of ice cream. She's a sweetie.

One of these days I'll try to get around to posting pics from Bennett's party (probably on Facebook). At any rate, it was a really nice party. It was at our house, and we were able to mostly stay outside. The kids had a great time playing on the swing set and other stuff. Drew cooked us hamburger and hot dogs on the grill, and we had cupcakes made by Nadean. Bennett also got a lot of gifts. We gave him a big stuffed 'Sully' from Monster, Inc. He seemed to like it quite well. I'll see if I can remember who all was there: Jane and I, Isaac & Ricci, Drew's dad, Dick & Esther and Tommie, Kevin M., Jessie and his wife and 2 kids, Jane F. and Hannah, Sam & Seth and their daughter, Erik and Lauren and their son, Dave and Jolene and their 2 kids, Molly and her 2 kids, Ashlee, Fred F., and Sarah and Charlie. I think that's everyone. I thought 36
(including Drew, Carrie & kids) was a pretty good sized party for our backyard. It was a swell time and I think everyone had fun.

Sam's husband, Seth is the only person I can think of that you missed.
