Sleep

I have been sleeping rather well lately. I quit taking sleep aids at the beginning of last week - and not only am I sleeping better, but I feel better in the morning. For awhile I had been taking Lorazepam/Ativan, and I really (really) like that. But I've heard it's not good to get in the habit of taking it night... because it can be habit-forming. So then I switched to otc Melatonin (10 mg). I've been taking it for awhile. I really left me feeling groggy in the morning, and sometimes I wasn't sure how good it really worked. Seemed like I would wake up around 4 am or so. I still seem to wake up before the alarm goes off, but it's a comfortable awake, and I can drift back off to sleep. I also like the lack of grogginess in the morning. I slept like a rock last night.

Wish I could say the same. It has just become an issue, which is why I can't remember words like "escrow". I did get to bed earlier last night, and when I inevitably woke up I did a shot of ZZzQuil, but still had a two hour layover waiting for the dream weaver train. Hopefully my upcoming vacation will reboot me.

And may sweet sleep mine eyelids close,
Sleep that shall me more vigorous make
To serve my God when I away"
