Another new running shoe

Okay, so you can call me crazy... I actually ordered a second pair of running shoes even though I just bought my Hoka's in March. So that's two pairs of high-priced shoes in one season! But... just like the 30% off I got with the Hoka's, my new Adidas Energy Boost shoes were actually HALF PRICE!!!

This is actually super-duper similar to my last pair of Adidas Energy Boost 3's - and I LOVE this line of Adidas shoes. Nothing I've ever worn fits my foot and gives me the feel these shoes do. I'd wanted to buy another pair like my last ones but couldn't find them anywhere. That is until I stumbled across this random Facebook Ad one night offering the shoes at $74.98 instead of the regular $160. So, completely out of character for me, I ordered them online from an unknown source in a matter of minutes. A couple days later they arrived on my doorstep, and I now have two superb shoes to switch back and forth in. :)

I have to admit that I was a little uneasy heading into marathon training with only the Hoka Bandi 5. I wasn't all that fond of them at first, but I'm starting to get used to their high stature and fit. They still feel a bit clumsy sometimes, and I've never done more than 6 miles in them. I can also still do runs in my Energy Boost 3's, but I sensed during the Indy Mini that they were starting to wear.

So I am feeling pretty good about this find. I'm not sure which shoes I will plan to use for long runs yet, but I think I have two pretty good options. I should also be set for running shoes for awhile (hopefully).

Yes, it feels a little crazy...
